ABOUT THE COMPANY
Kim Dick is the owner of STICK IT! Balance Beam Ltd. Manufacturer of the STICK IT! Balance
Beam. A portable, floor-level gymnastics balance beam training strip. The company began in
2005 with the idea of creating a gymnastics balance beam training accessory for gymnasts.
As her business has grown, the STICK IT! Balance Beam has become popular with hospitals,
daycare centers and PT rehab.
Kim started her company after creating the floor-level, balance training strip for her daughter
who was enrolled in a preschool gymnastics program. "This really began as a hobby. I made
the beam for my daughter, then a few moms wanted them for their girls. Then my local gym
ordered some for the pro shop and I've been in business ever since." Kim believes the
secret to the success of the product it its portability, and ease of use. She states, "It allows
kids to practice at home or when traveling. They can build confidence while reducing the risk
of injury, and it's a cost effective/ space solution for parents."
As a former gymnast she remembers placing duct tape on the kitchen floor to practice as a
child. "I sure wish I had this back then." she states. When asked what motivates her business
Kim says, "Every time I see a girl use this beam her face lights up. Remembering the passion
for the sport I once had...I know why the girls love this product. Plus it's great fun to be in the
business of helping kids go for their dreams and goals."
The STICK IT! Balance Beam has been featured in INSIDE GYMNASTICS magazine and also
on TV morning show FOX & FRIENDS as a Top 5 finalist in Jake Steinfelds "LIVE YOUR

Kim earned a BS in Public Relations / Journalism from Auburn University. Her work history
includes 23 years as a corporate and commercial flight attendant and
8 years as a real estate agent in her hometown of Atlanta, Ga.
Kim Dick resides in Columbus, Ohio with her family.
